MMG 40K Teams Invitational – 17th October 2027

Invitation only • £75 per team • 1 ticket = 1 complete 5-player team

Event Format

• 4 invited teams of 5 players
• One MMG team and one team from each of the three local gaming groups that supported MMG events most throughout 2026
• £75 per team—equivalent to £15 per player
• 2,000 points per player
• 3 team rounds across one day
• Each player plays one individual 2,000-point game during each round
• The combined results of all five players determine their team’s result for the round
• Each team must nominate a captain to manage team pairings and ensure lists and results are submitted on time
• We are using the Games Workshop Warhammer 40,000 Teams Event Companion as written, with no house rules
• Within each team, only one player may use units with a given faction keyword, as set out in the Teams Event Companion
• Matched Play using the current Mission Deck, army-building rules and latest FAQs/errata
• Terrain layouts are selected from the current Games Workshop Warhammer Event Companion
• All five lists must be submitted via Best Coast Pairings (BCP) by 23:59 on the Wednesday before the event
• Round 1 team pairings and terrain/mission details will be posted to the MMG Community Discord on the Friday before the event

About the Teams Invitational

The MMG 40K Teams Invitational brings together an MMG team and teams representing the three local gaming groups that supported MMG events most throughout 2026.

It’s both a competitive team event and a thank-you to the communities whose players regularly travelled to Market Drayton, entered our events and helped make MMG organised play what it is today.

Five-player teams face one another across five simultaneous games, with captains managing the match-ups and every player contributing towards the overall team result. Success requires more than individual victories—team composition, faction selection, pairings and limiting difficult results can all matter.

MMG is a warm, welcoming venue where sportsmanship, fair play and community spirit come first. This invitational is a chance to celebrate the relationships built between our local gaming communities while enjoying a full day of team 40K.

• Entry: This is an invitation-only event for MMG and three invited local gaming groups
• Tickets: Entry costs £75 per team. Only one ticket is required for each complete 5-player team
• Team captain: Each team must nominate one captain to purchase the team ticket and manage list submission, the pairing process and score submission
• Faction restrictions: Within each team, only one player may use units with a given faction keyword, subject to the exceptions in the Teams Event Companion
• Teams rules: The Warhammer 40,000 Teams Event Companion applies as written, with no MMG house rules
• Rules: The latest Games Workshop rules, updates, FAQs and codexes apply
• Judging: UKTC rulings are in effect—if in doubt, ask the TO/referee
• Spirit of Play: Please follow the MMG Spirit of Play—play fair, be respectful and keep it Mighty
