About Us
Mighty Melee Games is an independent tabletop wargaming venue and hobby store in Market Drayton, Shropshire.
We bring players together from across Shropshire, Staffordshire, Cheshire, the West Midlands and beyond to battle, bond and belong.
Who We Are
Mighty Melee Games is an independent, family-run business operated by Mich, Phil, Harry and Barney. We opened our first shop at 10 High Street, Market Drayton, on 10 June 2023. As the business and community grew, we moved to our larger, dedicated wargaming venue at Unit 96, Tern Valley Business Park, opening there on 2 October 2024.
We have built a thriving community around regular gaming nights, leagues, tournaments and special events. Whether you are an experienced tournament player, returning to the hobby or preparing for your first game, you will find a friendly welcome at MMG.
Our Wargaming Venue
Our dedicated venue has ten full-size 6' × 4' gaming tables, complete with gaming mats and a huge collection of high-quality terrain printed in-house. All our gaming tables are set at kitchen-counter height for greater player comfort, with tall stools available throughout the venue. We regularly expand and update our terrain as game systems, missions and organised-play requirements evolve.
Our venue can accommodate organised events for up to 20 players using full-size gaming tables, as well as 30 or more players for skirmish games, Spearhead and Blood Bowl.
We support casual games and organised play across systems including:

Our regular programme includes evening gaming, seasonal leagues, one-day tournaments, RTTs, doubles events and larger gaming weekends.
Organised Wargaming at MMG
Organised play is at the heart of Mighty Melee Games. We run structured events and leagues throughout the year, with clear event information, suitable terrain and support for both experienced competitors and players attending their first organised event.
Results, standings and event coverage are published through our website and Best Coast Pairings where appropriate. Our active Discord community also helps players arrange games, find opponents and keep up with forthcoming events.
Our Hobby Store
Alongside the venue, we stock a carefully selected range of miniatures, paints, tools and hobby essentials. Our focus is on supporting the games our community actively plays and helping customers find the right products for their armies and projects.
Playing at Mighty Melee Games
Players can book individual gaming sessions or join D6+, our monthly membership for regular evening gaming. We also offer private venue hire for clubs, groups and dedicated gaming days.

Our Philosophy
We believe wargaming should be welcoming, enjoyable and accessible. At MMG, there is no “Grey Shame”: you do not need a fully painted army to take part, and new players receive the same welcome as seasoned tournament veterans.
Good games, fair play and respect for your opponent matter more than experience, painting ability or results. Our aim is to give people a place where they can enjoy the hobby, meet other players and feel part of a genuine community.
