Our Combat Patrol League is a fast, flexible way to get more Warhammer 40,000 games in, try out a new faction, or enjoy smaller games alongside your regular 2,000pt battles.

Combat Patrol uses compact, pre-set armies with their own rules and datasheets, making games quicker to organise and faster to play. It’s accessible for newer players, but this isn’t a beginners-only league — it’s for anyone who wants more 40K on the table.

You can use any Combat Patrol currently supported in the official Warhammer 40,000 app. Older Combat Patrols that are not yet supported in the app cannot currently be used; we understand additional older Patrols are due to be added in future.

🧱 League Structure

• 5 matches across 10 weeks
• 2 weeks per round to schedule and play your game
• One Combat Patrol game per round
• Games are not timed during the league
• Target game length is around 75 minutes

The 75-minute target is designed to keep Combat Patrol quick and accessible without putting players under a hard clock during league games. From January 2027, our quarterly Combat Patrol one-day events will use 75-minute rounds.

❓ FAQ

Can I use any Combat Patrol?
You can use any Combat Patrol currently supported in the official Warhammer 40,000 app. Older Patrols cannot be used until official app support is added for them.

Are games timed?
No. League games do not have a hard time limit, but we are aiming for games to take around 75 minutes.

Is Combat Patrol just for beginners?
No. Combat Patrol is a great starting point for new players, but it’s equally suited to experienced players who want faster games, more 40K, or a chance to learn a new faction.

Will MMG run Combat Patrol events as well?
Yes. From January 2027, we’ll be running quarterly one-day Combat Patrol events using 75-minute rounds.
