MMG Spearhead RTT

Sunday October 11th. 

Gather your Spearhead, muster your warriors and join us for a full day of Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Spearhead at Mighty Melee Games.

The MMG Spearhead RTT is a one-day matched play event featuring four games of Spearhead against fellow generals from across Shropshire, Staffordshire, Cheshire, the West Midlands and beyond.

Whether you're aiming for the podium, showing off a beautifully painted Spearhead, or simply looking for a great day rolling dice, you'll be welcome at MMG.

Registration and BCP

Players must register on Best Coast Pairings by 23:59 on the Wednesday before the event.

If you are planning to use more than one Spearhead force during the event, please list one of your factions when registering.

Rules in Use

• Warhammer Age of Sigmar Core Rules
• Spearhead: any current Gaming Pack
• All current FAQs and Errata published before the event

What You Need to Bring

Each player must bring:

• At least one legal Spearhead force
• A complete Spearhead Gaming Pack
• Relevant rules publications
• Dice
• Tape measure

Your Spearhead Gaming Pack should include:

• Spearhead gameboard
• Terrain pieces
• Twist cards
• Battle Tactics cards

Players may bring any current Gaming Pack.

Players may bring multiple Spearhead forces if they wish.

Spearhead Selection

Players may bring more than one Spearhead force.

Before determining attacker and defender, both players must secretly decide which Spearhead they wish to use for that game.

Players should make a note of their choice and then reveal their selections simultaneously.

Once revealed, that Spearhead is used for the duration of the game.

Players may choose a different Spearhead for each round.

Battlefields and Gaming Packs

Once pairings have been announced, players must determine which Spearhead Gaming Pack will be used.

If both players have brought different Gaming Packs, they should roll off. The winner chooses which Gaming Pack will be used for that game.

Players should then follow the setup and battleplan instructions from the chosen Gaming Pack.

Event Format

Round One pairings will be random.

Subsequent rounds will be paired based on event ranking.

Each round lasts 90 minutes.

Players are expected to play at a reasonable pace and complete their games within the allotted time.

Scoring

After each game, players will report:

• Win, Draw or Loss
• Total Victory Points scored

Final standings will be determined by:

1. Number of Wins
2. Total Victory Points scored

Every Victory Point matters, even in a losing game. Players are encouraged to play every game through to its conclusion and score as many Victory Points as possible.

Players who concede a game record a loss and 0 Victory Points for that game.

Painting and Modelling

Fully painted Spearheads are encouraged but are not required to participate.

We love seeing painted armies on the table and hobby effort will be recognised through our event awards.

Conversions are welcome provided models clearly represent the units they are intended to be.

Best Opponent will be voted for by players at the end of the event.

Best Painted Spearhead and Coolest Spearhead will be judged during the lunch break.

Please note that lunch is not provided. Players are welcome to bring food, visit local shops or arrange delivery to the venue.

Mighty Melee Games is a dedicated wargaming venue and hobby store with full-size gaming tables, quality terrain and a friendly community atmosphere.

Free parking is available on site.

Drinks and snacks are available to purchase during the day.
