Be part of the Autumn season

Nearly 70 players took part across our Summer 2026 leagues, with players routinely travelling from up to an hour away to play their games at MMG.

Whether you want full-size tournament-style battles, faster introductory formats, a team competition with a friend or a season on the Blood Bowl pitch, there is an Autumn league for you.

Organised gaming that fits around busy lives

Each round lasts two weeks—or three weeks in the 40K Doubles League—giving you and your opponent plenty of time to find a mutually convenient evening.

No fixed league night

Pairings are issued for each round, then you arrange your game directly with your opponent. You are not expected to play every Monday.

Meet more local players

Play against new opponents, develop your army or team and become part of a welcoming community drawn from across Shropshire, Staffordshire, Cheshire and the wider West Midlands.

Friendly but structured

Our leagues combine organised fixtures and results with the MMG emphasis on sportsmanship, fair play and helping newer players feel welcome.

How the leagues work

  1. Choose your league. You can enter more than one if you have enough time to complete the games.
  2. Buy your league ticket. Individual league entry costs £5 per player or coach; the 40K Doubles League costs £10 per team.
  3. Join the league platforms. Full instructions for Discord, BCP or Tourplay are provided on the individual league page.
  4. Receive your pairing or fixture. Opponents and round information are issued at the beginning of each round.
  5. Arrange your game. Contact your opponent and agree a mutually convenient MMG gaming session within the two- or three-week window.
  6. Play and submit your result. Complete the game at MMG and record the result as directed by the league organiser.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to play on Monday nights?

No. Monday 5 October is the official start of the Autumn season, but league games can be arranged for any regular MMG gaming session within the relevant round.

Why does each round last two or three weeks?

The longer cadence allows organised gaming to fit around work, family and other commitments. The 40K Doubles rounds last three weeks because four players need to find a mutually convenient date.

When does the season finish?

All Autumn leagues end at midnight on Sunday 13 December 2026.

Can I join more than one league?

Yes. You are welcome to enter multiple leagues, provided you can arrange and complete all your games within the round deadlines.

Are the leagues suitable for newer players?

Yes. The leagues are structured, but they are built around friendly play and community. Combat Patrol, Spearhead, Battle March and Blood Bowl all provide accessible ways into organised gaming, while newer players are also welcome in the full 40K leagues.

Where are the games played?

All league games are played at Mighty Melee Games in Market Drayton. Players routinely travel from up to an hour away to take part.

Does the league ticket include table hire?

No. The ticket covers entry to the league. Normal table rates are £6 per person, per session, unless you have an active MMG D6+ Table Pass.

What if I cannot arrange a game?

Contact your opponent and the league organiser as early as possible. The two- or three-week round window gives players flexibility, but games must still be completed by the published deadline unless the organiser confirms otherwise.
